ADHISTANA - The Core Content
Adhiṣṭāna is the foundation behind the Youth of GSB Summer Camps.
It was a focused effort by Youth of GSB, bringing together educators and community experts to design meaningful learning for children.
Every activity in the camp — from public speaking to culture and values — is thoughtfully structured, not random.
The result is a set of engaging and consistent learning modules that will continue to evolve and improve each year.
3
Our Language & Knowledge
Connecting children to their roots through language, learning, and everyday practices.
Through simple, engaging methods, campers are introduced to reading and writing Konkani, basic Sanskrit, along with insights into Sāttvika GSB food and traditional practices.
This builds familiarity, confidence, and a deeper connection to their language, knowledge systems, and lived culture.
2
GSB Values & Ethos
Helping children understand the values and qualities often associated with the GSB community.
Through stories, discussions, and interactive activities, campers are introduced to ideas like community, enterprise, spirituality, and integrity.
This shapes their sense of character and conduct — enabling them to reflect on these values and express them in their own way.
1
GSB Identity & Awareness
Helping children understand who they are and where they come from.
Through engaging stories, simple explanations, and interactive sessions, campers are introduced to the history, traditions, and way of life of the GSB community.
This pillar builds a sense of belonging, pride, and clarity of identity at a young age — laying the foundation for a deeper connection with their roots.
